St Margaret's Church
Flowers

There is a saying... "you are nearer to God in a garden"... and it must be because each individual flower shows the beauty and diversity of Nature, and God's Creations.

Our church is a very busy place but we believe it is enhanced by the addition of the flowers that God has created, and helps to inspire worship, as well as embellishing the building, and reaching out to welcome all the people coming into this town centre place of worship.

We have a small but reliable group of ladies who take on this task each week, and at Easter, Harvest and Christmas, we try to arrange something different with each pedestal. On Mother's Day we make up about 200 bunches of daffodils for the children to give to their Mums.Weddings are a joyous occasion, and we work to the Bride's instructions for this, her special day.

It is a nice idea for flowers to be dedicated for other occasions, such as birthdays, and anniversaries, and even sad occasions can be commemorated with a special arrangement in church from loved ones. So if you would like a special event remembered with flowers, I would be happy to discuss it with you.

We are keen to welcome new Flower arrangers to our group and of course if you are experienced already that would be great. Otherwise we can "show you how" although this takes a little longer! I hope to organize a "workshop" for any who are inexperienced.

Please contact Barbera Rhodes via the parish office if you would like to learn more about arranging with us.
